The fog sculpture in the Sculpture Park at the Haus am Waldsee, Berlin creates a weather phenomenon above the water surface of lake Waldsee. It is a cooling device for over heated spaces in the summer, but also poetic quotation to a storm or tornado. Always in dialogue with the environment it interacts with the weather conditions of the local micro climate (humidity, air temperature).

25 fog nozzels are connected with a high pressure pump (30 bar) which pumps softly drinking water to the swimming platform on the lake. The device is able to rotate the vertical beam of stainless steel, to get closer to the form of a fog air spiral (vortex).

Visitors of Haus am Waldsee often expressed their joy while resting in the park and looking at „the cloud“ that changes continously behavior and form.
